5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/13/18
Some bad luck has kept Ryan Zimmerman's production down in 2018, but he still offers big upside tonight. What other budget-friendly hitters should you be targeting?

Mitch Moreland, 1B, Boston Red Sox

Price: $2,400

With an implied total of 5.83 runs, the Boston Red Sox are one of the few teams with an implied total higher than the Astros', besting every other team by more than half a run.

Baltimore Orioles right-hander Chris Tillman finished with the second-worst SIERA (5.76) in 2017 among starting pitchers in action today. His career-average of 4.58 doesn't inspire any confidence either, and 2018 has been especially rough for him so far. In two starts, he has gone 9 1/3 innings, allowing nine earned runs and eight walks while only striking out three.

Dating back to the start of last season, Mitch Moreland boats an outstanding 39.7% hard-hit rate and 13.0% soft-hit rate against southpaws. That hasn't translated into huge production, but both his .329 wOBA and .212 ISO are more than solid enough marks to create a ton of value in a spot this good. You're going to want exposure to Boston's offense today, and Moreland gives you that at a reasonable price.
