Domingo Santana is off to a quiet start to 2018, but with only 64 plate appearances under his belt, there's no reason to be concerned just yet. He finished 2017 with a .372 wOBA and .227 ISO (after posting marks of .343 and .191, respectively, in 2016), making him a proven hitter over a much more significant sample.
He didn't see much of a drop in righty-righty matchups last year, turning a 38.3% hard-hit rate in the split into a .370 wOBA.
Cincinnati Reds righty Luis Castillo has been a lot better to start 2018 than his 7.31 ERA would indicate, but the 32.7% hard-hit rate he's allowing is up a bit from last year, and he's not quite a scary enough matchup that he should deter you from taking advantage of getting a hitter of Santana's caliber at a price-tag this low.
