5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/16/18
The Jays are an offense to target, and Steve Pearce's spot atop the lineup makes him awfully appealing. Which other low-cost bats should you go after?

Wilson Ramos, C, Tampa Bay Rays

Price: $2,000

Priced all the way down at the minimum, Wilson Ramos offers a lot more value than the .189 wOBA he has opened 2018 with might suggest.

He draws a matchup with a southpaw in Martin Perez, and in 2017, Ramos turned a 34.6% hard-hit rate versus lefties into a competent .335 wOBA. That's not high-end production by any stretch, but it's better than you'd expect for a guy priced at $2,000.

Taking on Perez also gives Ramos' fantasy value a bump as Perez got crushed for a .362 wOBA and 5.12 xFIP on a 34.2% hard-hit rate by right-handed hitters in 2017. Perez has opened 2018 with an egregious 6.01 SIERA over two starts, and it's not looking like we should expect any improvement over the numbers he posted last year.
