5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 4/16/18
The Jays are an offense to target, and Steve Pearce's spot atop the lineup makes him awfully appealing. Which other low-cost bats should you go after?

Steve Pearce, OF, Toronto Blue Jays

Price: $2,700

Going right back to Toronto, it's no surprise that their 5.22 implied total is the highest mark on Monday's main slate.

Steve Pearce is expected to bat leadoff with the Jays taking on a lefty tonight, and getting a cheap leadoff hitter in what promises to be a high-scoring offense is always going to bring some serious fantasy value. The potential for runs and RBI in that spot is big, while Pearce should stand to see plenty of plate appearances.

Pearce's numbers also add some appeal to his value. In 2017, he managed a 35.4% hard-hit rate against southpaws, and overall so far in 2018, he's got 3 jacks to go with a 42.3% hard-hit rate and 38.5% fly-ball rate.
