Price: $2,200
numberFire's models project Austin Jackson as Friday's second-best point-per-dollar value today while he's priced $200 above minimum and likely batting leadoff.
Los Angeles Angels southpaw Andrew Heaney has only played in seven Major League games over the past three seasons, and while he looked pretty good in his first start of 2018, his five 2017 games saw him notch a middling 4.05 SIERA, bringing his career-average to 4.10. Right-handed bats have beat up on him for a .359 wOBA, 4.69 xFIP, and 37.8% hard-hit rate, and that makes this a great spot for Jackson.
Jackson has struggled in his 12 games with the Giants, but he is coming off a strong 2017 campaign that saw him post a career-best .371 wOBA. That included a huge .429 against southpaws, and with only 41 plate appearances against lefties to start this season, there's no reason to be worried about his long-term production yet.
