Gerardo Parra is off to a slow start but is cheap at Coors Field tonight. Which other budget-friendly bats should you target?

Daniel Descalso, 3B, Arizona Diamondbacks

Price: $2,300

We go right back to the Diamondbacks and their decent 4.44 implied total for this one. Another left-handed hitter, Daniel Descalso also stands to benefit from this plus-matchup against Tyson Ross.

He hasn't made Avila-level contact over as big a sample, but Descalso has absolutely crushed the ball so far in 2018, with a 54.3% hard-hit and 45.7% fly-ball rate. Good contact isn't an anomaly for him either. He turned in a 37.0% hard-hit and 43.2% fly-ball rate in 2017.

His numbers against right-handed pitching are particularly good, with a 41.0% hard-hit, 13.1% soft-hit and 44.1% fly-ball rate since the start of the 2017 season. His .326 wOBA in that time hasn't been anything special, and he doesn't have a great floor, but -- like Avila -- his contact numbers give him a terrific ceiling for a guy priced so low.
