Price: $2,700
Jonathan Schoop returned from a rather lengthy injury absence last night, notching a hit, a run and two RBI in five plate appearances. Despite the strong performance, he remains vastly under-priced here.
Schoop can absolutely rake against southpaws, and since the start of the 2017 season he has cracked them for a .390 wOBA and .265 isolated slugging (ISO) on a 39.5% hard-hit rate. Production that strong should not be priced this low, particularly while he draws a plus-matchup against Kansas City's Eric Skoglund. Skoglund has a career 4.88 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA) in his first two Major League seasons, allowing a particularly bad .395 wOBA to right-handed hitters.
Schoop is once again the day's best value.
