The Colorado Rockies have Thursday's highest implied total by a big margin as they welcome Milwaukee Brewers righty Jhoulys Chacin to Coors Field.
Chacin struggled in 2017, posting a 4.63 SIERA in 32 games, and like Tillman, things have been even worse for him in 2018. Over eight starts, he has a career-worst 5.53 SIERA while he's allowing a career-high 40.6% hard-hit rate and 36.5% fly-ball rate. Giving up contact like that is never something you want to see from someone pitching in the thin air in Denver.
Carlos Gonzalez clearly isn't the same slugger he once was, but he can still thrive in the right home matchup.
Over the past two seasons, he has managed only a .319 wOBA and .162 ISO. If we just look at his 223 plate appearances at home against righties, though, those struggles disappear altogether as he owns a huge .405 wOBA and .241 ISO in the split.
When you combine that with Chacin's struggles, it means that, at least for one night, we can roster Gonzalez like he's the CarGo of old.
