5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/17/18
Andrew Triggs is allowing plenty of hard contact, giving Curtis Granderson gobs of upside tonight. Which other budget-friendly hitters should you target?

Matt Joyce, OF, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,600

We go back to the A's offense for this one.

Toronto's Aaron Sanchez has struggled to the tune of a 5.19 SIERA to open 2018, which is a real concern after he posted a 5.62 SIERA in his injury-plagued 2017 campaign. He has also allowed a massive .395 wOBA to left-handed hitters so far this campaign, and his xFIP sits at 5.22 since the start of 2017.

Matt Joyce has a 36.0% hard-hit rate and 42.7% fly-ball rate against righties this year, which has translated to a capable .338 wOBA and .204 ISO. We can also count on that contact bringing even better production down the road as he has managed a mere .243 BABIP against righties (compared to a .269 BABIP last year and .281 career average).
