The New York Yankees' offense is a hot-hitting party, but it doesn't seem like anyone invited Neil Walker, who is slashing a paltry .211/.298/.257 across 124 plate appearances.
To be fair, Walker hasn't exactly been a slouch: his 40.0% hard-hit rate would mark a career high, with a .408 expected slugging that indicates better times may be ahead for the veteran infielder. Walker's respectable .178 career isolated slugging against right handers makes him a solid low-cost option this week against the likes of Nick Tropeano, Bartolo Colon, and Doug Fister.
