Fantasy Baseball: 5 Pitchers to Stream in Week 8
Rockies starter Kyle Freeland looks to add to the Dodgers' woes against lefties. Which other widely available arms can fantasy owners lean on in Week 8?

CC Sabathia, New York Yankees

Start: May 23rd at Texas Rangers
ESPN percentage owned: 50.1%

The advanced stats aren't exactly buying the alleged reinvention of veteran New York Yankees lefty CC Sabathia, whose crisp 2.40 ERA over 44.1 frames balloons to a less respectable 3.91 fielding independent pitching (FIP).

And while Sabathia's 29.5% hard-contact rate isn't ideal, it's hard to see where exactly that wide split in expected versus actual results comes from: soft contact, reach rate, and swinging strikes are notably up for Sabathia, while line drives and walks are notably down.

This might be a good week to see if Sabathia is still available in your league, as the Yankees square off against a Texas offense that leads the league in strikeout rate against lefties with a below-average 34.1% team hard-contact rate.
