5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 5/18/18
On pace for a career-year, Kevin Pillar is way too cheap for a plus matchup against Brett Anderson. What other cost-effective bats should you target on Friday night?

Matt Chapman, 3B, Oakland Athletics

Price: $2,800

Going back to the Oakland offense -- which boasts a reasonable 4.62 implied total and offers plenty of upside against the fly-ball prone Estrada -- Matt Chapman is in a strong spot.

Over his first two major league seasons, Chapman has been inconsistent, but he's also shown a ton of pop. His .338 wOBA is nothing to write home about, though he pairs that with a .231 ISO, coming on a 38.4% hard-hit and 46.6% fly-ball rate. He has also picked things up so far in 2018, with that hard-hit rate jumping to 42.7% and his wOBA to .348.

numberFire's models project Chapman as a top-three point-per-dollar value among hitters on tonight's slate.
