You can add Brandon Belt's name to the list of "most underrated players" in baseball.

Simply put, Belt has been one of the best hitters in the National League this season. Compare his .313/.413/.594 slash line, .424 wOBA and 11 dingers with Freddie Freeman's slash line of .325/.431/.568 slash, .420 wOBA and 9 bombs.
Playing in San Francisco is generally not great for one's offensive statistics, and Belt has never hit more than 18 home runs in a season, so the power numbers may slow at some point. But with a 49.1% hard-hit rate and 50.0% fly-ball rate, most of this checks out.
Belt has turned into one of the best hitters in the game and should be valued as highly as Freeman and the other top first basemen in fantasy. If the Belt owner in your league is looking to cash in, gladly buy-high.
