If you play in a fantasy league that uses on-base percentage instead of batting average (which you all should be doing, by the way!), New York Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo is especially valuable.
Nimmo has always been a good on-base guy, but so far in 2018, his .425 OBP is 5th-best in all of baseball. The 25-year-old is also hitting .275 with a slugging percentage of .526 with 20 runs scored in 120 plate appearances. And this is no anomaly. Nimmo had an OBP of .379 in 69 games with the Mets last year.
Nimmo is walking in 16.7% of his plate appearances this season, up from 15.3% last season, and he's cut down on his strikeouts with a rate of 23.3% that is down from 27.9%. He's not going to hit for a ton of power, but he makes decent contact and has a terrific eye at the plate, great for players who need help in the OBP category.
