Whenever Charlie Blackmon is taking on a righty at Coors Field, he's tough to ignore.
He consistently makes outstanding contact against righties, with a 37.7% hard-hit and 40.0% fly-ball rate in 2018, which are right in line with his 41.0% hard-hit rate and 40.9% fly-ball rate from 2017.
When he's on the road, that has translated to just a decent .368 wOBA and .240 isolated slugging (ISO), but against righties at home over the last two seasons, he has an absurd .468 wOBA and .351 ISO.
His matchup tonight is also an interesting one. Coming off a strong 2017 campaign, Jeff Samardzija has struggled to the tune of a 5.90 SIERA over seven starts in 2018. He's been particularly awful against left-handed bats, pitching to a 6.76 xFIP in the split.
