FanDuel Price: $8,400
As mentioned before, it is a pretty short slate for pitching tonight, and that's why Chad Kuhl is the fourth-most expensive pitcher at his price.
Kuhl has a solid 3.76 ERA, but he is allowing a 38.0% fly-ball rate and 35.9% hard-hit rate, which brings his SIERA to a fairly mediocre 4.24. Facing the Milwaukee Brewers probably isn't a good thing for his DFS prospects either. The Crew ranks top-10 in wOBA against left-handed pitching with a .322 mark, en route to ranking third in the National League in runs scored.
Kuhl's price tag is a reflection of a limited supply of strong starting pitchers on this slate. That means you should either pay up for an ace or look for an ultra-cheap option and punt the position. The last thing you want to do is pay an exorbitant price tag for Kuhl, a pitcher who doesn't offer much strikeout potential, as evidenced by his 9.7% swinging-strike rate.
