FanDuel Price: $3,300
Following a difficult 2015 campaign, Justin Verlander has returned to ace form, and he's ratcheted things up a notch even further in 2018. Over 18 starts and 118 2/3 innings, the right-hander owns an impressive 3.02 skill-interactive ERA (SIERA), along with a 31.2% strikeout rate and 12.7% swinging strike rate.
Verlander has essentially sucked the hope of opposing lefties as he sports a .237 wOBA and 33.3% strikeout rate against them, making the switch-hitting Yoan Moncada tough to roster. While he's shown some nice pop as a lefty, with a .219 isolated power (ISO), he also owns a 35.2% strikeout rate in this split this season.
With one of the lowest implied team totals on the board, the Chicago White Sox and Moncada are in a spot to avoid against Verlander.
