Marcell Ozuna has produced at a very respectable clip against southpaws this year, with a .327 wOBA over 81 plate appearances. That comes on some particularly strong contact, too, sporting a 46.7% hard-hit rate in that split.
He was been even more productive in 2017 (144 plate appearances), notching a .342 wOBA on a 36.6% hard-hit rate against left-handed pitching.
In addition to Carlos Rodon's struggles, the Chicago relievers rank bottom-10 in the Majors in xFIP, and the Cardinals' offense stands to benefit from good matchups all game. Ozuna also has reverse platoon splits, doing his best work in righty-versus-righty matchups, so if Rodon ends up getting knocked out of the game early, there's nothing to worry about with potential matchups as the night goes on.
