Joey Gallo is always going to be a hugely boom-or-bust play, but that leaves him offering relatively unique upside for a guy priced this low.

His strikeout rate sits above 35% for his fourth time in as many seasons, and his wOBA is down this year (to .316), but he is still boasting a huge .255 ISO, which isn't far off from his .283 career-average. He's making some ridiculous contact against right-handed pitching as well, turning in a 49.2% hard-hit, 51.6% fly-ball and 8.5% soft-hit rate.

Baltimore Orioles righty Alex Cobb is on pace for a career-worst 4.58 SIERA this season, and the .386 wOBA, 4.48 xFIP and 35.5% hard-hit rate he has posted against left-handed bats make this a great spot for Gallo.
