3 Daily Fantasy Baseball Players to Avoid on 7/23/18
Christian Yelich is having a good season, but he draws a tough lefty-lefty matchup against Gio Gonzalez.

Christian Yelich, OF, Milwaukee Brewers

FanDuel Price: $4,000

Christian Yelich is enjoying a very nice season with his new ballclub, as he is batting over .300 while contributing both power (12 home runs) and speed (13 steals).

Yelich has struggled in his career against left-handed pitching, however, and he faces a strong southpaw this Monday. In his career, he has a 22.2% strikeout rate, 16.6% fly-ball rate, 31.6% hard-hit rate, and 99 wRC+ against left-handed pitching. That doesn't sound like a hitter you want to pay up for.

Gio Gonzalez has continued to own left-handed hitters in 2018, even in his age-32 season. He has struck out left-handed hitters 30.5% of the time, while limiting them to a 34.6% fly-ball rate and 25.0% hard-hit rate.

As a hitter who struggles against southpaws going up against a very tough lefty, Yelich is an avoid for DFS purposes.
