5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 7/27/18
Filling in for Anthony Rendon, Mark Reynolds provides big pop at a minimal cost. What other low-cost hitters should you target on Friday?

Mallex Smith, OF, Tampa Bay Rays

Price: $2,800

Taking on the Baltimore Orioles continues to be a great spot for Mallex Smith's fantasy value.

He ranks fourth in the majors in stolen bases per plate appearance, while the Orioles have allowed top-10 marks in both total steals and steals per game allowed. Smith got the nod to attempt two steals against Baltimore last night (converting one), and that gives him a great ceiling.

Of course, he needs to get on base to have the opportunity to steal, and that's something he has really improved on in 2018. His .329 wOBA is a career-best mark, and against righties we see that jump to a respectable .333. Orioles righty Andrew Cashner will give him an especially good chance of getting on, with a 4.85 SIERA over 19 games in 2018, allowing a .355 wOBA to left-handed hitters.
