Daily Fantasy Baseball: Positive Batted-Ball Regression Candidates for Week 18
You wouldn't know it from his surface results, but Nick Castellanos has been locked in over the last month.

Andrew McCutchen, OF, San Francisco Giants

A sustained power outage will almost certainly find Andrew McCutchen on the fringes of daily consideration as we turn our attention to younger, sexier names in search of upside. Yet the last month has seen the San Francisco Giants' outfielder show excellent skill metrics (39.7% hard-hit rate, 20.7% line-drive rate, and 14.6% walk rate) despite the uninspiring results (.226 average, .096 ISO).

Assuming McCutchen's removal from Sunday's game with a minor foot contusion was indeed merely precautionary, the outfielder makes for a strong mid-priced play against beatable Padres lefties Eric Lauer and Clayton Richard early in the week. Cutch carries a robust .247 ISO against lefties over the past three seasons, so he might even make for a savvy contrarian play later in Week 18 against tougher southpaws like Patrick Corbin and Robbie Ray.
