Jon Jay hasn't done anything overly impressive from the dish this season, with a .315 wOBA, but he does offer some solid splits against right-handed hurlers. In a 324-plate-appearance sample, his wOBA jumps to .327 with a huge 37.8% hard-hit rate and low 9.8% soft-hit rate.
He also draws a matchup against a particularly shaky righty tonight in San Francisco's Chris Stratton.
Stratton is sporting the best SIERA of his career in 2018, but that is still only a 4.76 clip, bringing his career average to 4.82. He has been especially generous to left-handed bats, giving up a .347 wOBA, 5.00 xFIP, 37.0% hard-hit rate and 10.5% soft-hit rate.
