Jackie Bradley has dug his way above the Mendoza line after a miserable first half at the dish, but the Boston Red Sox's outfielder still isn't exactly setting the world on fire with a .240/.313./.440 slash line in his last 83 plate appearances.
Yet the speedy center fielder is clearly seeing the ball much better of late, working a 9.6% walk rate over the last month while stroking 43.4% hard contact and minimizing his soft-hit rate to just 7.5%.
Few everyday players in the juggernaut Boston offense will come as cheap as Bradley does in daily games. He's certainly worth a look as a roster filler in Week 19, particularly when the Red Sox travel to the hitter's haven at Camden Yards over the weekend.
