The Los Angeles Angels' offense is in one of the most promising spots on the slate. They get the most hitter-friendly park factor playing on the road in Texas, and they draw a plus pitching matchup against right-hander Ariel Jurado.
Jurado's four Major League starts have seen him struggle to the tune of an awful 5.48 SIERA, which isn't especially surprising when you consider the 4.20 xFIP he posted in his 16 Double-A starts this year. He's allowing a big 40.8% hard-hit rate while only forcing a 7.0% soft-hit rate.
Justin Upton has thrived in righty-righty matchups this year, converting a 46.2% hard-hit rate and 38.6% fly-ball rate into a .380 wOBA and .243 ISO.
With the contact Jurado tends to allow, Upton should have no trouble continuing to roll after going yard in five of his last eight games.
