FanDuel Price: $2,000
The Tampa Bay Rays have some intriguing values against Jorge Lopez, but they're likely to be overshadowed by the underpriced Athletics as tonight's go-to cheap stack. Still, there's plenty to like here against a hurler who's posted a dreadful 5.23 SIERA, 16.5% strikeout rate, 13.8% walk rate, and 46.7% hard-hit rate over 24 1/3 innings, and got roasted in his only start just last week.
Ji-Man Choi isn't exactly a household name, but he's quietly producing a 46.0% hard-hit rate, .239 ISO, and .388 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) against right-handed pitching. He owns a boom-or-bust 30.4% strikeout rate, but it's hard to complain about this kind of pop from a minimum-priced batter in the heart of the order. Despite playing in pitcher-friendly Tropicana Field, the Rays have the makings of a contrarian stack in what could be an underrated matchup.
