5 Daily Fantasy Baseball Value Plays for 8/21/18
Randal Grichuk has been popping righties all year, and he draws another great matchup on tonight's slate. What other value plays should we consider?

Ryan Zimmerman, 1B, Washington Nationals

Price: $2,900

As he rounds back into form after missing significant time with injury, Ryan Zimmerman will look to recapture some of his magic at the dish from a season ago, which saw him rock 36 home runs. He did a pile of work against righties last year. Over 433 plate appearances, the Washington Nationals slugger bombed his way to a .375 wOBA as well as a very juicy .252 ISO and 39.5% hard-hit rate.

That's important to note as the Nats try to climb their way back into the NL East race against the divisional rival Philadelphia Phillies. Vincent Velasquez toes the slab for the Phils, and while it's only a two-turn sample, it's been ugly in recent outings. Velasquez has been ripped in those outings for a 7.25 xFIP, 45.5% hard-hit rate, and 11.8% strikeout rate.

To get back in the thick of the divisional hunt, the Nationals will need to keep Velasquez's struggles going, and Zimmerman's bat could be a big part of that plan tonight.
