As is often the case when they're playing at home in Coors Field, the Colorado Rockies boast Tuesday's highest implied total (5.66), and they are taking right-hander Dereck Rodriguez and the San Francisco Giants.
Rodriguez' 2.47 ERA may make it look like his first 16 MLB games (14 starts) have been impressive, but his 4.31 SIERA quickly dispels that. He has also allowed some big contact, with a 41.3% hard-hit rate and 13.56% soft-hit rate, and that's especially worrying in the thin air at Coors.
Charlie Blackmon has seen his production fall off pretty steeply this year, but he's still more than capable of producing in the kind of favorable position he's in tonight. At home against righties this season, he has converted a 37.8% hard-hit rate into a .391 wOBA and .212 ISO. The Rockies' offense should give him plenty of opportunities for runs and RBI, giving him a great ceiling.
