Those poor numbers for Vargas make the Dodgers another team to go heavy on, and Enrique Hernandez lets you get exposure to the offense while paying the stone minimum.
Vargas has allowed a huge .385 wOBA to right-handed bats on the season, and while Hernandez isn't producing up to his usual level in the split, he's got a solid 34.3% hard-hit rate and 43.4% fly-ball rate against southpaws.
Hernandez's career has seen him post some pretty extreme platoon splits, with awful numbers against righties but solid ones against left-handers. That includes a .351 wOBA and .224 ISO against left-handed pitching, and you can afford to take a risk on his recent struggles while he's priced this low.
