FanDuel Price: $3,300
The New York Mets have a pretty modest implied total, but we shouldn't be surprised if they're able to pile up some runs against Joe Ross.
Ross has put up promising numbers in the past, with a career 4.08 SIERA and 20.8% strikeout rate, and he did fairly well in his first Major League start since undergoing Tommy John surgery by holding the Chicago Cubs to 2 earned runs in 5 innings last week. However, he failed to record any strikeouts, and showed a similar lack of punchouts over two Triple-A starts (7.7% rate).
Early returns suggest Ross may not be up to the task yet, so rostering some Mets like Michael Conforto is a good way to capitalize on the situation. Conforto has really come around in the latter stages of the season, and in September he's posted a .382 expected weighted on-base average (xwOBA) and .367 ISO. The Mets are inexpensive across the board, making them an easy team to stack on Friday.
