Getting more exposure to the Blue Jays' lineup, the righty-righty matchup isn't much of a worry for Randal Grichuk.
Cashner is terrible enough that the platoon advantage doesn't really matter as he struggled to a .370 wOBA and 5.38 xFIP against righties last year. Plus, Grichuk has typically shown plenty of power against right-handed hurlers.
Owner of an ISO of at least .235 in each of the last four seasons, Grichuk made 312 plate appearances against righties last year, turning in a 36.7% hard-hit rate and 48.3% fly-ball rate, which translated to a .268 ISO and .339 wOBA despite a fairly low .265 batting average on balls in play (BABIP).
That kind of power gives him solid upside on a nightly basis, and that's especially true in a matchup this good.
