The Houston Astros are the only team with an implied total higher than Toronto's, boasting a 5.21 mark as they take on Shelby Miller and the Texas Rangers.
Miller missed the bulk of both the 2017 and 2018 seasons due to Tommy John surgery, and he'll be making his 2019 debut tonight. He did manage a 4.11 SIERA in his five games last year, but that was an unreliable sample size. Considering his last full season (2016) saw him post a 5.13 SIERA over 20 games, Miller doesn't have a great outlook for this year.
Josh Reddick didn't offer a ton from the dish last season, with a .311 wOBA, but he also appeared to be suffering from some bad luck. After notching a .363 wOBA against right-handed pitching in 2017 and a .371 wOBA in the split in 2016, his production versus righties plummeted in 2018 thanks to a .249 BABIP.
Considering his career-average BABIP against righties is .294, we can expect some regression on that front, and with Reddick in a nice matchup, he's a cheap way to get exposure to one of the slate's best offenses.
