FanDuel Price: $7,500
On a gorgeous, monster main slate tonight, there is absolutely zero reason to take the chance on rostering Zack Wheeler with the way he's throwing the ball right now. Let's lay out the reasons why.
For starters, the Atlanta Braves, Wheeler's opponent, are absolutely torching opposing pitching right now. It's early in the year, but they ranked eighth in team wOBA (.347), second in walk rate (13.1%), strike out the fifth-least (20.0%), and are slamming the ball with some serious authority (38.0% hard-hit rate).
Wheeler is also struggling with his command early in the year. After quelling past fears on his walk rate, it's spiked back up over his first two starts to a whopping 17.4%, a large contributor to these struggles. Until he finds his command, stay away from the New York Mets hurler.
