Getting to make some more concessions with a cheaper value option, Lucas Duda is firmly in play despite his underwhelming overall production over the last few years.
He's finished with a wOBA better than .315 only once in the last three seasons, though he's still turned in an ISO of at least .177 in each of those campaigns, showing some solid power.
It's what Duda does when he has the platoon advantage that really puts him in play here. Since the start of the 2017 season, he's made 670 plate appearances against righties, turning in a .353 wOBA and hefty .260 ISO on a 42.1% hard-hit rate and 48.7% fly-ball rate.
Chicago White Sox righty Reynaldo Lopez has an egregious 6.64 SIERA through three games in 2019. We can't get too hung up on a sample of that size, but he also managed only a 4.92 SIERA in 32 games in 2018, bringing his career average to a 5.01 SIERA over 54 appearances. He's been thrashed for a 5.72 xFIP by left-handed hitters, and for as long as Lopez lasts in this game, he'll be a terrific matchup for Duda.
