The Chicago White Sox are bad away from U.S. Cellular Field, as we said earlier. Their annual trip to the west coast starts this weekend and is usually one of their worst stretches of games every season. Over the last three seasons, the White Sox are 2-9 at O.co Stadium. Jesse Chavez, Saturday’s starting pitcher for the A’s against the White Sox, earned one of the two wins against Chicago in 2014 and is primed to add to the misery that is White Sox baseball.
John Danks and his 7.82 road ERA and .368 opponent batting average toes the rubber for Chicago. There is little reason to expect him to pitch well or get run support in the case that he does. The White Sox have scored an MLB-worst 37 runs on the road and have hit into 18 double plays, tops overall. Chavez can earn you a win by simply being average against a terrible team.
