Miguel Gonzalez is the second half of the Orioles tandem that should get looks this week in your lineup. He has sandwiched a forgettable outing against the Yankees with two efforts where he allowed no runs.
Robinson Cano is not a fan of facing Gonzalez going back to his days in the Bronx. He is an unremarkable 3-for-24 -- a .125 average -- against Gonzalez. The 30-year old righty also avoids Austin Jackson because he will not be ready to come off the 15-day disabled list in time for the start of the Mariners’ road trip. Jackson owns a .571 average and 1.810 on-base plus slugging (OPS) against Gonzalez. If Seattle does not find a way to get to Bud Norris in game one of this series, they could be heading north of the border with brooms hitting their heels.
