Jerad Eickhoff, Philadelphia Phillies, 21.4 percent owned
Probable Starts:
Wednesday 5/11 at Atlanta
Jerad Eickhoff's 3.44 SIERA suggests that his 4.21 ERA is hardly indicative of his actual performance. He has also posted an impressive 4.6 percent walk rate, to go along with a passable 22.5 percent strikeout rate. His dominance dates back to September 12 of last year. Since that point, Eickhoff has a 2.80 ERA with a 26 strikeout rate and 5.4 percent walk rate.
He looks to continue his reign of terror in an optimal matchup against the Braves on Wednesday, who rank last in wOBA, wRC+, and hard-hit rate against right-handed pitchers. In his last start against Atlanta, Eickhoff went seven shutout innings.
He should be owned in far more leagues based off of his recent production. Even if you don't believe in his recent output, he's still worth a look in a matchup with the Braves.
