Last night, Chase Anderson frustrated DFS players everywhere when he held the powerful Cubs offense to just two runs in eight-plus innings.
Don’t expect a similar outcome tonight. With Jimmy Nelson on the mound, Anthony Rizzo has one of the top matchups in the league.
This year, 9 of Rizzo’s 11 home runs have come versus right-handed pitching. He’s posted a .380 ISO and .467 wOBA against righties, mashing right along with the rest of his Cub buddies.
Nelson has already given up five home runs to lefties this year while allowing a .202 ISO. His hard-hit rate jumps five points to 34.4 percent when he faces a left-handed hitter, which bodes well for Rizzo.
A repeat of last night’s two-run performance is unlikely for Chicago, and if and when the Cubs explode tonight, Rizzo will be at the center of the action.
