The Yankees’ offense ranks 24th in wOBA (.303) and 19th in home runs (40) -- and that’s while playing half of their games at Yankee Stadium. Today, Sean Manaea gets the Bronx Bombers in pitcher-friendly Oakland, which slots in 27th in home run factor. Manaea, a rookie, flashed big-time strikeout numbers in Double-A last season, racking up a 29.5% strikeout rate. While it hasn’t yet carried over into the bigs (14.9% strikeout rate in 19 1/3 frames), the matchup and price tag make him a very attractive option. Manaea is our third-ranked value play for the day.
