5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/31/16
With several appealing third base options, Matt Carpenter is likely to go overlooked in a favorable matchup. Who else will fly under-the-radar?

Matt Adams, 1B, St. Louis Cardinals

FanDuel Price: $3,400

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Joey Votto, David Ortiz, and Edwin Encarnacion all are in excellent spots tonight and are regularly more popular options than Matt Adams, who has just recently come on as a full-time fantasy asset.

Why You Should Use Him:

While he doesn't have the career numbers against Peralta that Carpenter does, lefty Matt Adams has been hitting the ball better than anyone on the Cardinals recently. Since being made a full-time player 11 games ago, Adams has a .467 batting average, along with a .581 wOBA and .933 slugging percentage. Those numbers are somewhat due to an inflated BABIP during that time, but his 60 percent hard-hit rate during that time offers some validity to them.

Adams will likely be hitting cleanup for St. Louis tonight and should be a major part of the impending offensive explosion against Peralta. Pairing him and Carpenter is a nice cheap way to get exposure to a lot of potential runs.
