5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Plays for 5/31/16
With several appealing third base options, Matt Carpenter is likely to go overlooked in a favorable matchup. Who else will fly under-the-radar?

Michael Conforto, OF, New York Mets

FanDuel Price: $3,300

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

After being one of the most popular fantasy targets for awhile there, Michael Conforto has slowed down considerably. Considering all of the outfield depth available today, he is unlikely to be a popular option.

Why You Should Use Him:

While Conforto has slowed down recently, he still has three homers in his last eight starts -- showing his upside in the right matchup. At this price, you're not risking that much by taking a chance on him, anyway.

Conforto and the Mets will take on right-hander Mat Latos today, who has a 5.30 SIERA on the year. Latos has allowed lefties to put up much better numbers against him throughout his career, which is excellent news for Conforto. The young lefty has launched all 17 of his Major League home runs against right-handed pitching and has posted eye-opening splits in every offensive category.

He leads the team in wOBA against right-handed pitching this season, and has elevated his wOBA against righties by over 200 points in his career. He also has an impressive 45.1 percent hard-hit rate in 280 career at bats against righties.

Conforto likely isn't a cash game option, but he is one of the most enticing under-the-radar tournament options available tonight.
