FanDuel Price: $8,600
Kenta Maeda has been decent this season, striking out 8.05 batters per nine innings. But with a swinging strike rate of 12.2 percent, there is plenty of room for that strikeouts per nine innings rate to grow.
But even if he doesn’t improve his strikeout rate tonight, his matchup versus the Braves should result in quite a few FanDuel points. The Braves are dead last in the league in ISO versus right-handed pitching at .092, and they’re only slightly better in the wOBA department -- 29th in the league at .276.
While Maeda started the season as a consistent contributor with six straight starts of six-plus innings, he hasn’t pitched more than five innings in each of his last four games. So even as a -215 favorite with tonight’s best probability (based on the moneyline) of earning the 12-point FanDuel win bonus, Maeda is best suited as a GPP play.
