FanDuel Price: $2,500
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Wilson Ramos will likely be pretty chalky against Brandon Finnegan, while Evan Gattis is intriguing against Hahn. Derek Norris is cheap enough that he should be popular with the way that he has played recently, but the Padres are projected for just 3.9 runs, so it's unlikely that he is overly popular.
Why You Should Use Him:
Norris is always worth a look when he draws a start against a weak lefty, which he does today. His opponent on the mound, Chris Rusin, has a 4.75 ERA this season, which is right in line with his career 5.11 mark.
Rusin has been hit very hard by righties in his career, allowing nearly a 10-point jump from his hard-hit rate against lefties. Righties have posted a .489 slugging percentage against him throughout his career, a number that has fallen just slightly to .475 on the road, which disproves the theory that his numbers are inflated by Coors. Rusin simply can't figure out righties no matter where he pitches.
Norris has posted excellent numbers against lefties in his career, improving his hard-hit rate from 27.6 percent against righties to 35.2 percent against lefties.
Ramos is the better option if you can fit his salary in, but at $900 cheaper, it's hard to pass up on Norris in this matchup.
