FanDuel Price: $4,200
Carlos Correa hasn’t quite matched his numbers from his otherworldly rookie season. However, he’s still an elite producer at a thin position, and he’s still the most expensive shortstop on FanDuel. Correa’s hard-hit rate is 36.4%, up from last year's 32.9% clip. The biggest difference has been a drop in his power numbers, with his ISO falling from .233 to .171. The power may be arriving as he already has four extra-base hits, including three triples, in seven games this month.
Correa is our top-ranked hitter for his matchup with Texas Rangers’ righty Yu Darvish. Correa has fared much better versus right-handed pitching this season, putting up a .353 wOBA against righties, compared to a lowly .298 clip against southpaws. Darvish is one of the game’s best arms when he’s dialed in, but he’s only thrown 10 2/3 innings in two starts since returning from Tommy John surgery.
The game is being played at Texas’ Globe Life Park, a hitters’ park that ranks sixth in ESPN’s Park Factors. With George Springer and Jose Altuve hitting in front of him, Correa is in a nice spot to do some damage.
