FanDuel Price: $3,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
There are several appealing outfield options today that will likely leave Gregory Polanco underowned, especially considering Pittsburgh has the second-lowest implied team total.
Why You Should Use Him:
Polanco has hit safely in four straight games, and now has his season average up to 12.5 FanDuel points -- the fourth-highest mark among today's outfielders. While his overall numbers look good, his splits against right-handed pitching really jump off the page.
Throughout his career, Polanco has elevated his wOBA and slugging percentage both by nearly 100 points against right-handed pitching. This season, he has posted an impressive .393 wOBA, .539 slugging percentage, and 37.5 percent hard-hit rate against righties.
Today, Polanco will face -- you guessed it -- a right-handed pitcher! His opponent, Bartolo Colon, is certainly not a pitcher to go out of your way to target hitters against, but not one that you have to avoid, either. Colon has been a lot more hittable recently, posting a 4.87 xFIP over his past seven games. He's also struggled against lefties this season, posting a 4.68 xFIP against them.
Colon isn't likely to get lit up, but Polanco could certainly do some damage on his own. He's not a must-play in cash games by any means, but he is always worth consideration in tournaments when he is facing a right-hander.
