FanDuel Price: $3,600
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Tim Anderson continues to be ridiculously underpriced, despite excellent production. With the White Sox having the highest implied team total on the slate, he is likely to be a very popular option once again. Corey Seager will likely compete with several other shortstop options for the second-most popular option.
Why You Should Use Him:
Seager's hit streak is now up to 11 games after he tripled and later scored last night. The young shortstop is second in FanDuel points among the position on today's slate, yet is priced as the sixth-most expensive option. That certainly should not be the case in a favorable lefty-righty matchup against Junior Guerra tonight.
Guerra's career xFIP jumps from 3.78 against righties to 4.52 against lefties, and his 4.21 SIERA on the year suggests that there is some regression coming to his 3.67 ERA.
Seager has posted better numbers against right-handed pitchers and has a career 40.4 percent hard-hit rate against them. Guerra isn't a pitcher that we typically go out of our way to target, but with today's smaller slate, Seager is certainly a viable option in this matchup.
