FanDuel Price: $3,500
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Brian Dozier now has four homers in his last three games and has another good matchup tonight. With Daniel Murphy and Matt Carpenter also in good spots, Robinson Cano isn't likely to be an overly popular option.
Why You Should Use Him:
Cano has more FanDuel points on the year than any second baseman on today's slate, yet comes in as the sixth-most expensive option. While his matchup isn't quite as juicy as Dozier's, he does get a lefty-righty matchup against the inexperienced Jameson Taillon.
Taillon has given up eight hits and four runs in back-to-back games, which has his ERA up to 4.50. He's also given up four homers in four starts. While the rookie certainly has talent, he doesn't appear to be quite ready to be a dominant force at the Major League level.
Vegas has Seattle getting the best of the youngster in this matchup, projecting them for 4.4 runs. Cano should be a big part of that run total, especially considering his splits against right-handed pitching. He has posted improved career numbers across the board against righties and boasts a 39.5 percent hard-hit rate against them this season. This season, 15 of his 19 home runs have come against right-handers, and he has a very good chance to add to that tonight.
