5 Under-the-Radar Daily Fantasy Baseball Hitters for 7/6/16
Xander Bogaerts will be a popular play tonight, but an excellent matchup makes Brad Miller an intriguing pivot. Who else makes for a solid contrarian play?

Evan Gattis, C, Houston Astros

FanDuel Price: $2,500

Why He Will Go Overlooked:

Evan Gattis is hitless in his last four games, and the Astros have a fairly modest implied team total tonight, meaning he probably won't be a super popular play.

Why You Should Use Him:

Gattis has struggled recently but gets a chance to get back on track in tonight's matchup against lefty Wade LeBlanc. LeBlanc has pitched well in a small sample size this season, but he has a 4.57 SIERA in 458 career innings and has only pitched 12 MLB innings in the past two years combined. It is hard to believe that his recent success will continue given his track record.

In his career, Gattis has fared better against left-handed pitchers, posting a 37.1% hard-hit rate.

Gattis is never a safe investment, but if looking to punt the position, no catcher offers as much cheap upside as he does. Give him a look in tournaments.
