FanDuel Price: $4,000
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Similar to Desmond, Bryce Harper has a lot of competition for ownership among today's outfield options. With Washington possessing a good but not great implied team total, Harper likely won't be an overly popular option -- especially because he's been slumping lately.
Why You Should Use Him:
Harper has really struggled out of the gate following the All-Star Break, but he will get a chance to turn things around in tonight's lefty-righty matchup against Bud Norris. Norris has a 4.17 ERA this season after posting a 6.72 mark last season and has struggled with righties in his career -- posting a 4.38 xFIP against them.
Harper has posted extreme splits against righties in his career, including leading all hitters with a .689 slugging percentage, .354 ISO, and .478 wOBA against righties last season.
Washington is projected for 4.7 runs tonight, and Harper could be a big part of reaching that total. His recent struggles make him more of a tournament play, but his pedigree against righties and matchup against Norris make him an elite one.
