FanDuel Price: $3,000
Why He Will Go Overlooked:
Adam Eaton and the White Sox are projected for just 3.6 runs today, which is the third-lowest mark on the slate. With several appealing outfield plays, he'll likely fly under-the-radar.
Why You Should Use Him:
Eaton and the White Sox will take on John Lackey and the Cubs in tonight's Windy City Showdown, and with the way Lackey has pitched lately, it's fair to wonder if the White Sox might actually deserve to be the favorites. Lackey has a 6.12 ERA over his last seven starts, during which he has allowed 10 home runs. Lackey has also been much worse against left-handed batters this season, posting a 3.97 xFIP against them.
Eaton, a lefty, will bat leadoff against Lackey tonight, and he should have a good chance for production based on his career splits against righties. In his career, Eaton has seen his slugging percentage jump by 67 points, his ISO by 78 points, and his wOBA by 17 points against right-handers.
Lackey has enough of a pedigree that it is hard to ignore the low implied team total for the White Sox in cash games, but he has pitched poorly enough recently that it is worth taking a shot on Eaton in tournaments.
